With a horror movie having just been nominated for a record sixteen Oscar nominations, now is a good time to remind ourselves of this prescient depiction of a time 500 years in the future when centuries of indiscriminate breeding has lowered the national IQ to the extent that a film called ‘Ass’ has recently swept the Academy Awards, and the White House occupied by a total dolt. Sound familiar? Yeah, me too.
While the effect of all this dumbing down on town planning is beautifully conveyed by a long-shot of the ramshackle city of the future.
