The GOLDEN GLOBES announced their winners for the year ending DECEMBER 31, 2024 championing independent films above blockbusters. The star-studded event marked the official start of the awards season with major wins for EMILIA PEREZ which defeated the much hyped WICKED to win Best Picture, Musical or Comedy. THE BRUTALIST swept the board, directed by Brady Corbet, who took home the Best Director Motion Picture Award, the film starred Adrien Brody who won Best Actor in a Motion Picture – drama.
Demi Moore won her first Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for THE SUBSTANCE and reflected on her first recognition and award in her entire 45 year career in Hollywood.
